Kay Maw specialises in commercial, industrial, rental and asset valuations, as well as commercial property management and advice. Qualifying as a valuer in 2000, she worked in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions and as Senior Property Manager with the NZ Transport Agency in Wellington before joining the Lewis Wright Team in 2015. During her time at NZTA she managed the large Acquisition, Disposal and Property Management Contracts. This has given Kay extensive experience working for both public and private sectors over a wide range of property types.

CHE WHITAKER
DIRECTOR

Che joined Lewis Wright in January 2009 and is a registered valuer, specialising in coastal and residential valuations, hypothetical subdivision, residential investment properties and feasibility studies. He holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Massey University, with a double major in Valuation and Property Management and Marketing.
Che is a shareholder and director of Lewis Wright, branch chair of the Property Institute of New Zealand (PINZ) and the New Zealand Institute of Valuers (NZIV) in Gisborne. In addition to this, he is a director of ValGroup Limited, an organisation representing 13 plus valuation firms nationwide, providing a network of high quality valuation and property related information.
In his spare time he enjoys family and surfing world renowned breaks in Gisborne, reminding him of his youth when he competed at a national and international level.

Originally raised on the shoreline at Ohope Beach in Whakatane, with 20 plus years now on the Gisborne soil. Che has over 14 years’ experience in the Tairawhiti/Gisborne region joining Lewis Wright in 2009, registered in 2014. “Strong local knowledge is key to understanding all factors in the current market” he states. Che holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Massey University in Palmerston North, with a double major in Valuation and Property Management plus Marketing.

Ben Inder

Ben specialises in rural, horticultural, lifestyle and large-scale asset valuations. He has over 15 years’ experience valuing, with 3 years in the Wairarapa and Wellington Districts, and 12 years in the Tairāwhiti District. Ben joined the team at Lewis Wright in June 2018 and has expertise across a wide range of property categories.
In his spare time, he enjoys surfing, playing tennis and football.

Michael Livingston
REGISTERED VALUER BLPM (Rural)
After completing a Bachelor in Land and Property Management specialising in agricultural management and rural valuation with Lincoln University, he returned home to Gisborne in late 2019. He then commenced an internship with Lewis Wright and began working with us undertaking rural valuations in February 2020 under the guidance of Peter Wright, a Fellow of the Property Institute of New Zealand (PINZ) with over 40 years’ experience in the profession. Michael's background is in the rural sector, having been raised in Manutuke, Gisborne on a family sheep and beef farm.
In his spare time, Michael is a keen sportsman and plays senior Rugby for the Ngatapa Club.

Peter Wright
REGISTERED VALUER Dip VFM, FNZIV, FPINZ
Peter is a founding member of Lewis Wright and as such brings considerable expertise and experience to the team. Peter specialises in rural, lifestyle and residential valuations in Gisborne and the East Coast. His experience includes assessments for compensation, land classification, rental assessments and horticultural, pastoral and forestry land valuations.

Bruce Cowper
CONSULTANT
Bruce Cowper is now retired, although available to assist the team as a consultant. His previous experience is vast, specialising in rural valuations with a particular interest in pastoral, forestry and Maori land valuations. He has over 40 years’ experience in valuing a wide range of property for both public and private sector clients.

Peter is the financial controller for several agri-based businesses in Gisborne including Gisvin Ltd, GroCo (2017) Ltd and the Waipaoa Station Farm Cadet Training Trust. He also undertakes financial modelling, investment analysis and develops management reporting systems for various farming clients and other agri-based businesses in the region.
